NIOA are a sinister weapons company and Australia’s largest privately owned firearms and munitions supplier. They are the key supplier of weapons for New Zealand’s police and defence forces, directly producing and selling the munitions police use to brutalise the public (at disproportionately high rates).
NIOA provides the IOF with its “preferred” sniper rifles – guns used to ruthlessly kill Palestinians and their children – and takes pride in doing so. NIOA is actively complicit in violating international law and perpetrating human rights abuses.
NIOA opened its “central hub” in Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2023, and has been profiting off of the business of war in Rolleston ever since. Their headquarters are a warehouse and distribution centre for a company hell bent on proliferating weapons presence across our region.

Their expansion of business to Ōtautahi Christchurch means war criminals are welcomed to do their business here.
PAO member Joseph Bray asserted to Scoop Media: “The abundant evidence that war crimes and breaches of international law are committed against Palestinians using NIOA supplied weapons means it is our moral duty to shut them down in our city – and if the government wont, the people will.”
